Born in Tokyo and graduated from Keio University with a degree in psychology. She has written on art, lifestyles and travel for major Japanese magazines including Brutus, Elle Japon, 25ans, Seven Seas, Skyward, and newspapers. Recently, she worked as the Vice President of the Japan Society of Fairfield County to promote cultural exchange and friendship between Japan and other countries. She is an author of two books, the Japanese nonfiction When the Dog Hachiko was Waiting at Shibuya Station (2008) and an English novel based on the same true story Reminiscence of Shibuya 1929-1938 (2015).
